BabyAwake Privacy Policy

BabyAwake is a kick- and wake-tracking app built and operated by an independent developer ("we"). This policy explains what data the app handles and your choices.

Data you give us

• Tracking data: kick/wake-up entries with timestamps, baby name(s), gender(s), due date or birthday, and your app settings. Stored on your device; synced to our server only if you create an account.
• Account data (optional): your email address, or a Sign in with Apple / Google identifier. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
• Profile photo (optional): stored on your device and, with an account, on our server so it follows you across devices.

What we do with it

One thing: run the app. Sync between your devices, send account emails (password reset, welcome), and deliver silent push notifications that keep devices in sync. We run no ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking SDKs, and we never sell or share your data for marketing.

Where it lives

• Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany, EU) hosts our server and database.
• Resend sends transactional email (password reset codes, welcome emails).
• Apple processes Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and subscription payments; Google processes Google sign-in. We never see your payment details.

Retention & your rights

Data is kept while your account exists. In the app you can export everything as JSON (Profile) and delete your account, which permanently removes all synced data from our server immediately. Without an account, all data lives only on your device and is yours to delete with the app. You also have the GDPR rights of access, rectification, portability and erasure — the in-app tools cover all of them, or email us.

Children

The app stores information about a baby (name, dates, movement entries) entered by the parent, who controls it fully. The app is intended for users aged 16 and over.

BabyAwake is a tracking aid, not a medical device. Nothing in the app is medical advice.
